On Nov 22nd, 2018, the final selection of the 2018 Evonik-SJTU PhD Funding Program was held in the Evonik Xinzhuang site. Prof. Yongfeng ZHOU, deputy dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE), Prof. Hongjing DOU from the School of Materials Science and Engineering (SMSE), Dr. Jing FENG, corporate innovation vice president of Evonik Greater China, Dr. Tiantian XIE and Dr. Jinghua JIANG from Corporate Innovation Department, Evonik Greater China, attended the appraisal meeting.

In the final selection, 13 PhD students from SCCE and SMSE who passed the preliminary review introduced themselves in English and presented their research work with elaborate preparation. After the careful discussion and assessment by the appraisal committee, 8 students won the funding.
The Evonik-SJTU PhD Funding Program is an important part of Evonik-SJTU strategic cooperation. The program aims to support excellent PhD students to broaden international vision and enrich overseas exchange experience.
